Herb Kelleher, Founder and CEO of Southwest Airlines, believes: “If the employees come first, then they’re happy….A motivated employee treats the customer well. ┬áThe customer is happy so they keep coming back, which pleases the shareholders…it is just the way it works.”

The Bottom Line: Leaders put employees first to create happy employees, and, to set an example how to treat customers.
