Strategic Thinking & Planning

For your organization to grow and prosper, it is essential to have a vision of the future and a strategy to get you there.

Designing strategy is all about answering a series of questions, and, executing strategy is about making a series of choices. Some of the pivotal questions include:

  • Who is our customer?
  • What do they consider value?
  • Are we delivering that value? How do we know?

Core Competencies

  • What is our core competency (ie, what are we best at)?
  • What additional core competencies need to be developed?

  • What is unique about our product/service?
  • How can we further differentiate?
  • What role does branding play in our strategy?
  • How do we measure success?
  • What, ultimately, are the results we want to achieve?

Business Context

  • What are the external forces and trends influencing our business (eg, economic conditions, demographic trends, regulation, etc)?
  • What is the status of our existing business? What have we learned about how to win?
